Like to wager on electronic poker games? Walk into any casino in Atlantic City and one item you will quickly witness is that the betting houses spend a ton of floor space on machines. Do you hold the Kings and the guaranteed cash or roll the dice for the difficult to hit flush? Hint 3: It’s random
Over the years, I have observed individuals wager on Video Poker in Atlantic City using all kinds of groundless movements. Many will only use cold credits to bet, other will depress the buttons with gusto, some will hit the machine with their money before playing and the list just keeps going. Every hand is setup by a RNG. The instant you begin to gamble, the hand is set in rock. The machine will randomly pick all the cards from a deck and deal them out.
Hint 4: There’s no Recollection
This is a very important one. Many players figure that if they begin to observe hands with 3 of a kind, four to the royal and so on that the better hands are due any moment. This is simply incorrect. As pointed out in hint 3, the system uses a RNG to setup the hands. The game has absolutely no recollection. It doesn’t know that you have not had a full house in 400 hands or that you just received 3, four of a kind hands in sequence. It is possible to go 100,000 hands without a 4 of a kind and it is possible to get 10 in a row. The game does not track, because in the long run, the numbers are a wash.
